Avonix Imaging Co-Founder Assists In Groundbreaking Discovery

Avonix Imaging and company co-founder, Jeffrey Diehm, were acknowledged in a recent article in Live Science detailing the use of high-resolution industrial computed tomography imaging (CT or 3D x-ray) to peer inside ancient clay balls from Mesopotamia. Diehm worked with Christopher Woods of the University of Chicago’s Oriental Institute, providing never-before-seen views inside these clay balls. These CT images were instrumental to Woods in answering questions about the origins of writing and contracts. The groundbreaking research that was accomplished could not have been done without the use of this leading-edge technology.
